Friendly and helpful staff and English spoken. Wonderful place to relax and so peaceful with exceptional cleanliness.
Small walled city hotel , very well appointed and comfortable , but expensive.
We were warmly greeted. The room was very nice - the hotel is an oasis in the town. Very relaxing and pretty. The pool is beautiful, try to have enough time to enjoy it. The parking garage is on site, underground and safe. We would definitely return to the hotel.
We have never stayed in a beautiful hotel within a walled town. When you drive into Aigues Morts you are completely amazed at the size of the town all contained within the ramparts. We felt really privileged to have stayed in such a wonderful setting the garden area was particularly beautiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast but felt that the evening meal could have been more international with greater choice of food.
The diligence of the staff, the nice settings, patio and garden, atmosphere, the restaurant; Dinner was exceptional;
friendly staff, fantastic restaurant, big comfortable room, private parking, swimming pool, great atmosphere of luxurious villa.
The hotel itself is beautifully furnished & designed througout with tapestries, soft stone achictecture & subtle lighting - the furnishings & attention to detail are superb. There is a personal touch to all the areas & even a resident cat who adorns the many elaborate chairs in the conservatory which looks onto a central walled courtyard garden. All the staff were very attentive & helpful, the room was well equipped & we felt comfortable & relaxed. The restaurant offers a number of menus & a la carte dishes, plus fine wines. Breakfast was an array of different choices, everything presented in white dishes, baskets & all accompanied with homemade pots of jams, local honey & produce.
what a lovely Hotel,right in the centre of the walled city,a super pool in a wonderful courtyard,very quiet location,a good but sligtly overpriced breakfast for just a continental one,a tight squeze if you have a bigish car for parking in the underfloor but very secure garage,we simple loved the stop.and would have liked to have been able to stay longer in that area.
We loved the garden and adjacent swimming pool, room was nice and quiet; much care has been given to create a romantic classy atmosphere in the building.
The price of the breakfast is not included in the roomrate and too high in comparision to that.
Beautiful building with a medieval feel, spacious, tastefully done up. Lovely large courtyard garden, covered swimming pool. Large rooms, very comfortable. Friendly staff. A really classy place where you could easily spend a week or two. Right in the centre of the incredible city of Aigues-Mortes.
peacefulness, location, friendliness, helpful, gardens were a delight and the pool/spa facilities good but not well advertised. I would stay again so long as I was in a garden room.
Our room - 1 - was fine in itself but was overlooking the road - no traffic - but like sleeping under the eiffel tower. Curtains did not fit windows so bright street lights all night. Not a good nights sleep and not frankly worth the £200. A shame as it is not difficult to find curtains to fit. Also no information in the room about the hotel/area/dining etc. All we got was an envelope asking for a tip at the end....hardly condusive to good feeling.
The whole experience was very very good, i would recommend this to anyone, the reality is far better than what you see in the 'brochure'. Simply astounding. once inside the walls of the town, then Villa. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great =] loads going on in the main plaza, loads to eats and shop. I even found a local supermarket bought beers and bread and other yummies from the deli then headed outside the ramparts to sit and watch the world go buy and the sun set. amazing =]
The roads nearby and the bridge got seriously congested, if you just chill you get in soon enough. It is a major attraction for the area so it is expected i suppose.
Incredibly relaxing, beautiful surroundings and wonderful service.
a beautiful, quiet oasis in the middle of lovely Aiggues Mortes - our room was fabulous, huge, new beds and superb ensuite, lovely pool and gardens where you could relax with a drink after dinner in the town, discreet, attentive staff - it ain't cheap but worth every euro
Excellent location on the inside perimeter of this walled city. A haven of calm amongst the busy tourist population. Very well and artistically furnished and decorated.
